Unity has its very foundation in prayer. Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, co-founders of Unity believed that prayer is the first and last step in every thing we do. We ask for direction and then we give thanks when we find our way.
Myrtle Fillmore was healed through prayer. She had tuberculosis and she felt for many years she would surely die of it. She prayed and meditated for three years opening every cell of her being to God. She was healed. This was the very root of Unity's beginning.
